Kabochas are coming


It's been 4 months since I planted a single kabocha seedling. It now covers about 25 sq. ft. of ground. For the past 3 weeks I have tried every cooking recipe for kabocha.....creamy kabocha soup, miso soup, baked sliced kabocha, boiled Japanese style kabocha, sliced and sauteed with butter and sugar, tempura style, etc. I have not made kabocha pie or mushed kabocha yet. If any of the readers have more recipes I would appreciate your suggestion.

Mieko - How many kabocha would you say you got from your one seed that you planted? I feel like I hardly get any kabocha for the number of seeds I plant!?
